The Werribee South Foreshore is located on the western edge of Port Phillip bay
at the mouth of the Werribee River.
This narrow reserve of coastal land has spectacular
views across the bay with the You Yangs providing a postcard backdrop.
The Werribee South Foreshore offers a range of leisure activities and facilities
which include, three boat ramps, a jetty, bike and walking trails, picnic areas,
BBQ’s, tennis courts, sports ground and two playgrounds.
The Werribee South Foreshore is surrounded by the market garden region.

South has over 3000 hectares under cultivation and is recognised as the broad leaf
vegetable capital of Australia. Previously under traditional irrigation it now has
recycled water available to the area from the Western Treatment Plant.
